iPad Gets Movie Rentals With 3G Support Thanks to mSpot

Those of you who’ve got an iPad were, until now, limited with what Netflix offers in their “Instant” section when they wanted to rent a movie for a quick watch – and even though Netflix does offer a good selection of titles, it’s still not enough for many. Say no more, as mSpot now has a version specifically optimized for the iPad, which allows you to stream movies directly through a 3G connection.

The prices vary between $2.99 and $3.99 and the program supports both 3G and Wi-Fi connections, though from what we’ve been able to understand so far, the quality of streaming is the same in both cases – that is, we’re not sure if Wi-Fi users will get to enjoy a better picture.

One of the cool features the app offers is resuming your movies that you’ve been watching at home – say you watch a film on your PC, then you have to leave the house – no problem, just hit the Pause button, take your iPad with you and you’ll be able to resume the movie from the very point you paused it whenever you want to!
