The New 11.6″ Pavilion dm1 by HP Now Available

July 8, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

HP for some reason didn’t give much light to their upcoming Pavilion dm1, leaving fans to find out whatever information they could about it themselves. However, we finally get to see what all the fuss is about, as the new 11.6-inch netbook has finally made its way to the store shelves.

The laptop offers the possibility of 5 GB DDR3 RAM, and comes with either a 250 GB hard drive or a 128 GB SSD one, depending on the customer’s choice. The keyboard is also nicely designed, almost as large as an actual desktop one, and the laptop can also be bought with a variety of accessories like a DVD burner. There’s also a 6-cell battery that can last up to 5 hours, and an integrated VGA webcam.

For your connectivity and data transfer needs, there are 3 USB sockets, a 5-in-1 card reader and finally, the laptop comes pre-loaded with Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium (or the Professional version if you opt for it). This is all powered by an AMD Athlon II Neo clocked at either 1.3 GHZ, or all the way up to 1.7 GHz – plus an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 for your rendering needs.
