Motorola Charm Early Images & Specs Detailed, Runs Android 2.1

Motorola is seemingly doing well and the brand has managed to revive its repute by introducing a flurry of Android powered ‘super-phones’ over the last 12 months. The brand has however not forgotten that everyone cannot afford a top-notch Android device and it is also therefore readying some low-end devices. The Charm spotted in a leaked image here is one of those devices which packs in the Android goodness and is still very basic as far as the other features are concerned.

Spotted via an image leak, the Charm looks a pretty decent device and albeit the entire spec-sheet is not available this early, there are a few features that have been detailed.

There isn’t a certainty about the carrier to give the Charm a break in the US first, T-mobile however is the most likely name. There is a wide-spread belief that this handset will be offered for free by T-Mobile with a two-year contract.

Other than packing in the Eclair version of Android, Charm will also feature MOTOBLUR, a 600 MHz processor and a 2.8-inch QVGA display.

Also, there will be a 512 MB ROM and 512 MB RAM, along with a QWERTY physical keyboard thrown in the mix. The rest of the features remain a mystery for now and hopefully we will have the entire details of this handset pretty soon.
