Acer Aspire 1551 Released, Good Price/Quality Ratio

June 29, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

Laptop manufacturers today seem to be taking both extreme sides when releasing new models – you either see some strong powerhouses, or models with your budget in mind. The new Acer Aspire 1551 shows that thankfully, the ones that fall in the middle and give you a good compromise between both factors aren’t extinct yet.

The Aspire 1551 features a 11.6″ display with a LED backlight, as well as a 1.5GHz AMD Turion II Neo K625 processor powering everything behind the curtains. The dual core processing power should give you quite the respectable performance for your apps’ needs, while the specific model used is known for being light on the power supply.

Apart from that, you’ll also get an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 for your gaming purposes and HD video playback (you can watch 1080p videos on this baby without any problems!). There’s 4GB of RAM so you can expand your workflow over as many apps as you may need at the moment, and a 320GB hard drive to store your data on.

The price of all this? Just $550.
