Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S) for T-Mobile to Launch on July 21, Pricing Set at $200

T-Mobile’s variant of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone called Samsung Vibrant has been officially announced to hit stores on July 21 for a price of $200 along with a two-year contract with the carrier.

The Vibrant smartphone will feature a unique outer design for T-Mobile and will have a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen display. Inside, the device will be fitted with a Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor with a speed of 1GHz.

The camera present in the back of the phone will be of 5 megapixels and will be capable of recording videos in 720p resolution. Android 2.1 will also feature in the device as its operating software.

The Samsung Vibrant was earlier reported to offer connectivity via 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. The phone will be able to capable of supporting external memory cards of up to 32 GB. However, a 2GB memory card will be present in the phone’s package during its launch with a collector’s edition of the Sims 3 game and the movie Avatar pre-installed in it.

The Samsung Vibrant can be pre-ordered at Radio Shack outlets from July 1 onwards at an additional price of $50, which will be refunded as a gift card later.
