Microsoft Windows 7 Reaches 150 Million Sales Mark

Microsoft has announced that it has sold over 150 million licenses of its latest operating software Windows 7. The announcement comes barely a month after the company announced the sale of the 100 millionth copy of the Windows 7 OS, calling it the fastest-selling operating software in the history of the company.

The sale of 150 million copies of Windows 7 in such as short while translates to a sale of approximately seven copies of the operating system every second. It has also led to reported projections of 300 million copies of the software being sold by the end of the year.

The announcement that appeared on the Windows corporate blog, also mentioned that around 75% companies were looking to integrate Windows 7 as the operating system on their computers.

It has also been revealed on the corporate blog that  the beta versions of Windows Live programs such as Sync, Messenger, Photo Gallery and Movie Maker will be released by the company on June 24.
