T-Mobile US to release Galaxy S as the Samsung Vibrant

T-Mobile is all set to release their version of Samsung’s upcoming “superphone”, the Samsung Galaxy S, will be rebranded and released by T-Mobile as the Samsung Vibrant. The leak came out through the T-mobile news blog, CellPhoneSignal , who had earlier reported about the phone passing through FCC approval.

T-Mobile is planning a big event on June 29th and the Vibrant is expected to be the showpiece of the event. The leak also reveals that according to a series of clues dropped by T-Mobile, the new Android 2.1 smartphone will come packed with a preloaded app bundle which is expected to include Amazon’s Kindle for Android as well as EA’s The Sims. There are also rumors of a possible GoGo in-flight WiFi deal.

The Samsung Vibrant will mostly be the same beast as the Galaxy S, with its awesome 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz HummingBird processor, 5 megapixel camera and 16 GB of internal storage. The handset, which supports 720p HD video recording, will have T-Mobile native 3G connectivity, as well as Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n WiFi connectivity.

The Samsung Vibrant is expected to be unveiled at T-Mobile’s event on June 29th to ship by July 21st.
