Olympus Releases Two New Point and Shoot Models: X560 WP and T100

June 18, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

Olympus has come out with two new point and shoot models in their line. The first is the Olympus X560 WP, which features a 10 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom support, automatic facial detection, and a satisfyingly high ISO sensitivity. The model also features 18 different shooting modes and digital image stabilization – and last but not least, it’s waterproof (of course, with these claims, it always pays to stay on the safe side, so we wouldn’t push it too far).

On the other hand, we have the T100, which is a starter model that’s aimed at teenagers, and it features a 12 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, and facial detection as well. It can shoot VGA videos too, and that’s about all we know about both models so far in terms of technical specifications.

Nothing is known about their prices though, or when we’ll eventually see them on the market – so if you’re looking to buy either of those two shiny new cameras, you should wait a bit more until more information is available.
