Toshiba Reveals New Notebooks – From 3D to a Budget $300 Netbook

June 16, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

Toshiba has revealed several new notebooks today, most additions to their Satellite line of laptops. The first of the morels is the Satellite A665, which is targeted for entertainment purposes, and features a 16″ screen with a choice of Core i3, i5 or i7 CPUs, or an AMD quad-core Phenom II – all for the price of $799.99.

Next in line is the A665 3D Edition, which will cost you considerably more – $1599.99, and its screen is a bit smaller, 15.6″ – but its 3D capabilities are outstanding. It uses Nvidia’s active-shutter 3D glasses, with an external USB station for communication – with built-in transmitters apparently coming some time in the future.

There’s also the NB255 in Toshiba’s netbook line, costing just $299.99 – which makes it Toshiba’s cheapest netbook so far. It features an N455 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive – plus a six-cell battery for your long-running power supply needs.

These aren’t all the new netbooks that have been revealed though, so you may want to have a look around Toshiba’s website.
