Nintendo Reveals Zelda: Skyward Sword

Nintendo are continiung their hugely popular series “The Legend of Zelda” with a new installment, titled “Skyward Sword” – it will use the Wii’s MotionPlus, and should be released sometime in 2011, according to the press briefing which was given by Nintendo today at E3, at the very beginning of their presentation.

Controls will feature the Wii Remote (as well as the Wii MotionPlus addon) to control the player’s sword, while the nunchuk will be used to move the shield around. Thus, the player will be able to experience the game as if they were really fighting with a sword and shield – according to Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo, who further claimed that the game offers a 1:1 sword control.

There will also be various other items available to players, such as a bow, slingshot and bombs, a whip and others, all of which will be controlled with the motion controllers as well. So, Zelda fans – ready for yet another well-designed game featuring your favorite hero?
