New iPhone 4 Pre-orders Available on Apple Store, White Model Not Shipping Yet

June 15, 2010, By Alex Ion

The new iPhone 4 has just become available for pre-orders on the Apple Store, but from what we’re seeing only the black version will be available. That’s because the official Cupertino website says that the “White iPhone [is] currently unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup”.

iPhone 4 pre-orders

Why Apple, why? Why can’t we have that sleek white iPhone 4 as previously advertised? Are you guys short on white paint, or what?

As you probably already know the 16GB iPhone 4 is going to set you back $199 while the 32GB model goes for a good $299. These prices are available only if you’re going to sign a new two-year AT&T wireless service contract.

Pre-order the new iPhone 4 today and get it delivered on June 24th, just as officially announced, or wait until there’s more info on upgrading your existing Apple phone. Right now they’re quite vague about it saying that “existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS should check with AT&T or use www.apple.com/iphone/buy”.

What are you folks going to do?
