Price Drop To Older 360 Models, Cheaper Than Wii

June 14, 2010, By Gerard "Danger" Cabarse

With the new Xbox 360 model showcased at today’s conference at E3, the price tag for all older models are expecting a cut. But just how much is Microsoft taking off the price of the original Xbox 360s?

Across the board, all existing models of the old 360 will receive a $50 cut. That means that the Arcade version of the 360 will go from $199 to $149, Elites will go from $299 to $249. 360s bundled with a game (Final Fantasy XIII, Modern Warfare 2, etc) will also receive the same cut.

Not a bad way to make room for the new 360 model. With all that Kinect is bringing to the 360, this price tag makes  the 360 an even more serious competitor for both the Wii and the PS3.

These price cuts are expected this coming Tuesday.
