The folks at Playstation are releasing four games tomorrow that makes use of stereoscopic 3D technology to make the PS3 the “Ultimate 3D Gaming Experience.” The firmware update, released in April, prepped the console to allow gamers to immerse themselves into the third dimension.
Starting tomorrow, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD, and PAIN will be 3d compatible and readily playable. People who purchase Sony Bravia 3d capable TVs will receive a voucher that will allow free downloads of the four games to make use of the new feature on their Playstation 3.
There are a few stipulations however. Other than having to have a PS3 to play these games, your TV will need to be capable of 3D. All seventeen of you will now get to game in the new dimension!
There will also be games for Sony’s motion controller, Playstation Move, that use this. “The Fight: Light’s Out” will provide a realistic fighting situation, minus bodily contact.
Hopefully, this venture into 3D gaming won’t be as disastrous as the last one.
