Memory module maker Patriot has tread a different line to bring to the market a tablet. The company, which had all these years, been into USB memory sticks and Solid State Drives has come up with a new device christened Aigo Tablet. An official launch has been done and it is expected that the tablet would come to retail stores sometime in July.

There were three different versions on show at the launch event. Aigo Pad N700 (In case you aren’t aware, Aigo is Chinese for Patriot) tablet comes as a 7-inch slate holding within itself an optimized Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS. Connectivity is to be taken care of by 3G and WiFi capabilities.

The tablet has been created on an Nvidia Tegra 2 platform and promises to be top class. We are yet to get more details on the other two versions that were shown off at the launch event in Beijing. All we are told is that the other two versions will be 4 and 5-inch tablets.

We are yet to hear anything on the pricing front too, though there are speculations that the high-end version could sell for more than $400. Let’s wait for more details to come in.
