HTC Evo 4G Sold Out All Over US; People Not Caring About New iPhone 4?

June 8, 2010, By Alex Ion

After breaking Sprint’s first-day sales record, the HTC Evo 4G is now reportedly sold out at all brick and mortar stores, and online, everywhere in the country. It looks like Sprint didn’t anticipate such a huge demand for the new Evo 4G and after selling nothing less than 200,000 units, they’re now waiting to restock.

But the real fight is just about to begin, now that Apple have officially announced the new iPhone 4.

A very different mobile compared to the 3GS model, the new handset brings an all-new design that includes an improved 3.5-inch touchscreen with Retina Display technology rated at 326ppi — which is beyond the human eye’s limit of distinction. The display boasts 960 x 640 pixel resolutions, has 800:1 contrast ration (4x better than the 3GS) and IPS technology, which Steve Jobs says is a “bit better than OLED”.

The new iPhone brings quite a lot of other goodies that you’ll enjoy. But will all these jeopardize sales for the new HTC Evo 4G? Probably not, as we’re hearing lots of AT&T customers switched to Sprint even if they’re not in an 4G area, just to have an Android-powered mobile. And maybe because they want to get away from AT&T’s crappy service?

So how about you folks! Are you in for the new iPhone 4 or you’ll wait a few more days for Sprint to stock up their Evo 4G?
