Acer Aspire One D260 Netbook Announced, Features Intel Atom N455 Processor

Acer officially debuted their new 10.1” netbook, the Acer Aspire One D260. It runs on Intel’s latest Atom N455 1.66 GHz processor and 2GB of RAM and boasts a runtime of around 8 hours. The D260 has a 10.1” 1024×600 display powered by Intel GMA 3150 graphics.

Though earlier there were rumors about a possible Android OS option, it is now confirmed will come preloaded with Windows 7 only.

In terms of connectivity options, the D260 has WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0+H.S,10/100 Ethernet and three USB 2.0 ports. There is also a multi-format memory card reader, VGA output and Audio in/out. For harddisk, you get the choice of either 160GB or 250GB and for batteries, you can choose either a 3-cell batter for a 4 hour runtime or a 6-cell one for upto 8 hours.

No pricing info has been revealed yet, but we do not that it will be hitting the shelves on July 1st, 2010.
