New iPhone 4 Features A4 Chip, Bigger Battery; Brings in a Gyroscope

June 7, 2010, By Alex Ion

Okay so by now we know the new iPhone brings in an amazing new design, a stunning new 3.5-inch screen with “Retina Display” technology. What about the engine under the sleek hood? Steve is saying that the iPhone 4 is powered by the A4 chip, one designed by Cupertino themselves …

Because the new iPhone runs on a smaller A4 chip, Apple managed to increase the battery size which led to improved times when it comes to using the device. If we’re to take his word for it, the iPhone 4 is soooo good that it stays on 7 hours of 3G talk, 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of WiFi browsing, 10 hours of video, 40 hours of music, and … get a chair … 300 hrs in stand-by.

Yeah that’s impressive, but still no sign of a removable battery.

Other features of the new iPhone 4 include Quad band HSDPA, 7.2Mbps, Dual mics, 802.11n WiFi, GPS, compass and an accelerometer. But as you read in your title, the device comes with an added gyroscope.

“We’re adding a 3 axis gyro, and we tied the gyro and accelerometer, compass, and gyro together for six axis. It’s perfect for gaming.”

It’s starting to look nice, don’t you think?
