Motorola Milestone XT720 is out. Bound for the European market, the new handset runs Android 2.1 and many unique features. Significant among them is that the Milestone XT720 comes sporting an 8 megapixel camera and 720p/24fps video capabilities. Motorola has for the first time incorporated these features in an Android device. Besides, the handset will also boast of a xenon flash. Camera lovers can look forward to some real fun.

Motorola’s new device comes with a 3.7-inch, 480 x 854 screen. Driven by a 550MHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, the Android smartphone will have within its case a battery set that would ensure at least nine full hours of talk time and 320 hours of standby time.

Tipped to share sibling qualities with the Motoroi handset, the

Motorola Milestone XT720 that comes sans the external keyboard is expected to be a rage in Europe as soon as it hits retail shelves later during the month.

That brings us to the question as to when the device would make it to US customers. But then, as far we know, American roll out has not bethought of at the moment. Maybe Motorola would wait to see how it sells in Europe and then take it to the United States. Also, there are speculations as to whether an Android 2.2 would come along. The phone maker seems to have not even thought about it, we are told.
