HP ePrint Makes Remote Printing Easy and Convenient

June 7, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

HP have taken a new direction in mobile printing, aiming for a cloud-like service – where you’d have printers connected to a centralized server, each assigned its own e-mail address. That way, when you need to print something, you just e-mail it to the printer’s address, and that’s it. You’ll be able to do this from any kind of device that supports e-mailing.

HP are planning to release millions of web-connected, Photosmart-enabled printers this fall, going for as low as $99, which will be able to use the cloud system for transmitting content. The even better news is that the connection apparently works both ways – that is, you’ll not only be able to print from any device, to any printer, but also scan something into a scanner connected to the system, and access it from any device like a computer ot tablet.

Scheduling is supported as well, enabling you to configure when you want certain documents to be printed. All in all, this sounds like it’s going to be a fantastic solution to all of our printing problems.
