The US retail debut of Motorola’s i1 smartphone will get kick-started on June 20.  The smartphone will arrive at Boost Mobile retailers as well as from both Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile.

A statement from Boost Mobile has said that it would be hitting the mobile marketplace with a $50 Monthly Unlimited offer when the Motorola i1 is launched. Boost, along with Motorola, is set to offer an Android experience to customers who enjoy the walkie-talkie feature.

The first push-to-talk phone from Motorola will arrive at 1,100 Best Buy locations, 80 Best Buy Mobile stores and exclusive Boost Mobile stores in the US, making the phone easy to find as soon as it is rolled out.

The phone will be a device that would be an alluring product from the Motorola stables and would sport a 5MP camera and a 3.1-inch HVGA display. This would also be one among the first devices to feature the new optimized Opera Mini 5 Web Browser.

Combined with the Boost Mobile ‘Monthly Unlimited’ service, with unlimited nationwide talk, text and Web for $50 per month, staying connected has never been easier. Connectivity would be taken care of by Wi-Fi capabilities equipped with the phone. Motorola has also said that the i1 would be one of the first Android phones to integrate new SWYPE technology for fast messaging.

Other features include access to Email Exchange, Instant Messaging that comes preloaded and 2GB microSD card – the phone supports up to 32GB. The touch screen i1 would be GPS-enabled too.  Get set for June 20 to have the first taste of the i1.
