AT&T HTC Aria Specs and Release Date Confirmed

June 2, 2010, By Atul Roach

It was just yesterday that we came to discuss about the smallish HTC Aria for AT&T after a set of images flocked the web. The Aria is seemingly becoming popular by the day and the latest speculation is that the Android 2.1 powered smartphone will go public for AT&T on June 7, the day when the 4th generation iPhone will also supposedly arrive for the big time US carrier.

Aria will be a cheaper alternative for AT&T customers who cannot afford a high-end Android handset apparently, but it will still be packed with a number of impressive features. Though smallish in nature, it will have a screen close to the 3-inch mark while it will also sport a 5MP camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As we mentioned yesterday, the Sense UI will also be on board and other attractions will include an optical trackpad and a microUSB port. There were talks of the HTC Aria arriving with a QWERTY slider, but the image(s) tell us a different story.

AT&T could have a big day come June 7 as the iPhone will most probably arrive on the same day (even the new data plans give us a hint) and so could the Aria, which is again no ordinary Android device, though smallish in nature.
