The new iPhone saga is almost coming to an end. An announcement made today by AT&T, officially confirmed that the US carrier will get the iPhone 4G in stores sometimes on June 7 or June 21, putting an end to speculation that we’ll have to wait until July or August before we see it released.

While it’s a bit unusual for AT&T to bring the news and not Steve Jobs or someone from Cupertino, we’re hearing that there may be truth behind all this — although we find it hard to believe, and to be honest the source of the article is not exactly one of our trusted partners.

I mean, why would AT&T spoil the big surprise that Steve has for all of us?

We don’t expect the new iPhone to be a groundbreaking device like the first model when it was first released, but the addition of iPhone OS 4.0, a 5 megapixel front facing camera or the new design that makes it look sleek, are a strong points to make it a hot seller once again.

No word from AT&T if all these are true, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more on the matter.

Note: No we don’t think the iPhone 4G will be in stores on June 7, OR on June 21, so better take this with a pinch of salt.
