HTC EVO 4G Crowned Best Smartphone Before New iPhone Gets Released

May 31, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The HTC EVO 4G smartphone that will be released on Sprint’s network on June 4 has been rated as the best smartphone by people who got a chance to use it before the launch. However, the phone might lose its top position once the Apple iPhone 4G is launched at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 event.

The HTC EVO 4G smartphone is thought to become more popular than the HTC Incredible, which enjoys the most popularity in the market today. The EVO 4G will be equipped with two cameras, with a front facing camera for video chats and an 8 megapixel camera in the back. It combines HTC’s Sense user interface with the Android 2.1 operating software. Its features and capabilities are expected to increase once Google releases the Android 2.2 Froyo update later this year for the EVO 4G.

The smartphone will operate on the 4G network offering superior connectivity speeds for users. The mobile hotspot capability that allows eight other mobile devices in the EVO 4G’s range to get connected to the internet as well, is another important feature in this device. It is the first smartphone to be fully 4G capable and can operate on the 3G data network as well.

Which smartphone do you think will rule the market? The HTC EVO 4G or the iPhone 4G? Let us know.
