Rockstar games has announced that it will release new shootout playlists for the multiplayer mode of its game Red Dead Redemption on Memorial Day, which falls on May 31. The new playlists can be accessed in the competitive shootout section of the game.

The video game development company revealed that the Gang Shootout Multiplayer Playlist will take place in various towns in the game such as Chuparosa, Armadillo, Tumbleweed and Hennigan’s Steed. The new playlist shootout will be to the death and will allow players to fight against other multiplayer gangs. A Hardcore Gangs Shootout Playlist will also be released to cater to experts of the game. The intensity of action in the game is expected to increase with the new downloadable content from the developers.

Red Dead Redemption has gained a huge amount of popularity since its launch earlier this month. The game has already gained top spot on UK sales charts and is the first game from Rockstar Games to do so since GTA IV.
