What began as a competition designed to be a positive experience for children and became a nationwide rage with millions of votes supporting the competition, Doodle 4 Google, has finally outed its results. Makenzie Melton, a third grader at El Dorado Springs R-2 Schools in El Dorado Springs, Missouri, is the winner for her Rainforest Habitat.

Her doodle expressed her concern for the depleting rain-forests which is definitely not good for the plants and animals. Just so you know how stiff the competition was, a total of 33,000 student submissions were received to claim the coveted title.

Of all concerns for the doodle, Makenzie’s entry was the most genuine one and for winning the title, she will receive a $15,000 college scholarship, a netbook computer and a $25,000 technology grant for a new computer lab at her school.

What is more is that her doodle will be featured on the Google homepage tomorrow as an award for her genuine concern. We here at Dmag heartily congratulate Makenzie Melton and also her school which should be proud to have a child prodigy in their premises.
