Samsung Galaxy S Availability Confirmed in Germany, UK & Asia Release Date Coming Soon

Samsung has finally started selling its flagship Android device, the Galaxy S in Germany and with this news, the speculation of availability of this top-notch Android device in UK as well as Asia is on the rise. We begin with Germany where this Super AMOLED screen laden Android 2.1 smartphone is now up for the grabs at a starting price of a whopping €649.

But, no one is seemingly bothered about this high-price as it is an Android scorcher with an uber fast 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and a stunning 4-inch Super AMOLED display. Not to forget that this smartphone can easily be updated to Froyo (Android 2.2) and there is no nasty overlay to worry about.

With the Froyo update expected pretty soon, the Android freaks will not be thinking beyond this device even in the US, although AT&T is yet to announce a specific release date.

In the UK, Vodafone will probably be the first carrier to sell the device though a release date is again a mystery. Talking about other parts of the world, the Asian markets are also expecting the Samsung Galaxy S in June and the experts are predicting an unsubsidized price of S$1,098, which is pretty much comparable to the German price tag.
