Well, those of you who’ve been following the TV series Lost are surely aware that the series has finally come to an end, with the season finale for the show’s final, sixth season, having been released. While the fanbase is (as expected) divided over the culmination of the series’s storyline, the release of the episode caused some interesting effects on the Internet community.

Reports by Torrent Freak indicate that the final episode of the drama has been downloaded more than 1 million times in just 24 hours, with some very peculiar figures, such as 100,000 people seeding a single file at a time – for those of you unaware of the torrent technology, this means that 100,000 people were providing access to the file from their computers simultaneously.

The huge interest in downloading the episode over the Internet could be attributed to several factors – putting aside the show’s popularity by itself, we should also take into account that the episode was supposed to air around 2 days later on the other end of the world, which for any true fan would have been unbearable to wait.
