Loosing cellphone prototypes in public places is becoming quite an effective promotion tool for cellphone manufactures around the globe, especially after the Apple iPhone 4G was discovered in a bar. The latest one to be discovered in a public place is the Motorola Milestone 2 a.k.a Droid Shadow and this upcoming smartphone was found in a US gym.

Loosing cellphones in a bar can still be dubbed a tad natural but in a gym, it sounds pretty pre-planned. Nonetheless, the Milestone 2 was discovered in a gym and upon exploration the feature set is pretty noteworthy. The found prototype had an 8MP camera with 720p video recording capability and an impressive 4.3-inch screen. There was also an HDMi slot and 16GB of internal storage

For record sake, the first variant of the Motorola Milestone was a big flop in the UK but its US re-incarnation the Motorola Droid was highly successful. The Milestone 2 will again make it to the US (Verizon probably) and it will be dubbed the Droid Shadow when it arrives in July this year.

The best feature about this upcoming smartphone will be the presence of Android 2.2 on-board which will make it one of the latest Android based scorchers available in the market shortly.
