HTC Mondrian Leaks With Windows Phone 7 OS, Features 1.3GHz Snapdragon CPU

It must be said that HTC was hiding its cards brilliantly until now as no one even had a clue about the arrival of the Mondrian smartphone. It ‘might’ officially be the first handset to arrive with the much anticipated Windows Phone 7 OS and that is what makes this HTC branded device all the more special.

Thanks to a leaked Windows Phone 7 OS 100MB file which made the matter public as otherwise the Mondrian discovery sometime later would have been a real shocker. Nonetheless we now know that the Mondrian is arriving and what is more is that the device will be laden with an impressive 1.3GHz snapdragon processor as well.

Not just the Snapdragon processor, the original discoverers of the leaked doc are believing the device to arrive with a 4.3-inch WVGA (480×800) display from Optrex.

As far as the Snapdragon chipset is concerned, it is capable of supporting multi-mode UMTS and CDMA 3G connectivity. What is also being touted is the presence of a digital compass however the psychical keypad may not be a part of the finished product.

HTC is already going great guns with its Android devices and now the brand is looking to mate the Snapdragon chipsets with the Windows Phone 7 OS.
