Call of Duty 7: Black Ops Release Date, Trailer, Zombie Mode, And Rumors You Need To Hear

May 16, 2010, By Intermaggio

We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors and hearsay about Call of Duty 7: Black Ops recently, and we thought it might be a good idea to round up all the information in one place.

Call of Duty 7 is one of the most anticipated games of 2010, and we certainly can’t wait to see what Activision has in store for us- it looks like the graphics have gotten sharper, the gameplay has gotten tighter, and overall Black Ops should make good on the shortcomings of Modern Warfare 2, and be a real crowd pleaser.

The Rundown:

  • Call of Duty 7: Black Ops has been slated for release November 9, 2010, just in time for the holiday season
  • Vehicles have been revamped- helicopters can now be CONTROLLED in single-player campaigns, rumors are that there will be controllable vehicles in multiplayer mode
  • Zombie mode has not yet been confirmed, nor has it been denied (there is still hope, my scantily-limbed comrades!)
  • Create-A-Class has been revamped, will be easier to use, and will allow you to customize the way your character looks!

  • The first full length trailer will be released THIS TUESDAY, May 18th, during the NBA finals on ESPN.
  • Call of Duty 7: Black Ops will be a Cold War era shooter, with scenarios in a variety of places from Cuba to the Arctic

In any case- we’re abuzz with excitement about the upcoming full-length trailer, and we hope you are too! Here’s a teaser to get you pumped:
