Andrews Air Force Base Air Show 2010: Noisy Machines in the Sky This Weekend

May 14, 2010, By Alex Ion

For those out of the know, the joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington, formerly Andrews Air Force Base, is a US base in Prince George’s County, in Maryland, just eight miles away from Washington DC. It’s also where every year, over Armed Forces Day weekend, they hold an amazing air show — and 2010 won’t be any different with the Andrews Air Force Base Air Show 2010 happening this weekend.

So are you folks prepared for a few days of watching steel birds in the sky doing all possible acrobatics? Because at the Andrews Air Force Base Air Show 2010, which is scheduled on May 15 to 16, will have the Blue Angels demonstrating their skills.

So better have your cameras and your lens cleaned up — aim for the best possible shots.

Another interesting thing about the Andrews Air Force Base is that it’s here where the official presidential aircraft (Air Force One) is stationed. It’s also where all important congressional delegations, foreign heads of state, and others important people land when coming for official visits to the White House.
