Just weeks after a successful release of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Expansion (say that 10 times fast!), Activision has announced its intention to release another, similar expansion. “Resurgence” as its called, is expected to add and update maps, and retail for similar to the $15 cost of the Stimulus Package. Learn more about the expansion and when its due after the jump!
Resurgence, according to Activision, will be released for Xbox 360 on June 3rd. Though its unspecified when the expansion will be released for PS3, we can infer that work is still being done to port it to the other console, and so it will likely be released later in June, or perhaps early July.
Worth noting is that to celebrate the release of Resurgence, Infinity Ward will be hosting two double XP weekends- one starting May 28th, and the other on June 4th. A double XP weekend means that over the weekend (in this case, Friday-Sunday), players earn double their experience points (XP)- this is a great opportunity for new players to level up fast and get pwning in one of the most popular FPS games of all time!
What do you think of the double XP weekend?
