Toshiba has, in the past made a few good ultraportables. If the rumor mills are to be believed, they are now working on what is to be the world’s lightest 13-inch laptop , weighing less than 1kg with SSD. It will also be using Toshiba’s SCiB ( Super Charged ion Battery) and be using a standard voltage CPU such as a Core i5. The SCiB battery can charge to 90% in just 10 minutes.

The 13” laptop will sport a 16:9 aspect ratio, USB 3.0 dock and possibly come with options for a Core i3, i5 or i7-620 configurations. It will have 4GB of RAM and have either a 500GB HDD or an optional 512GB SSD. The laptop will also have a Honeycomb Rib structure to keep it stiff and durable even while being slim.
