Anxious to get your hands on the new Sprint HTC EVO 4G as soon as possible, well folks, it looks like the super-handset will be available for pre-order with The Shack “soon”. According to an internal memo from The Shack, users will be able to reserver their new HTC EVO 4G sometime “later this month” — which probably means the last week in May.

For those who don’t remember it, the HTC EVO 4G is probably the best packed (or most powerful) mobile phone to date.

That’s not only because it has an uber-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs Android 2.1, there’s also an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a 4.3-inch 480 x 800 capacitive TFT touchscreen with multitouch capabilities out of the box, and what many of you’ve been waiting for … there’s WiMAX with built-in hotspot capability.

Other specs include 1GB of flash memory space to install all the apps you can think of, 512MB of RAM, 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 A2DP + EDR connectivity, and GPS/aGPS with free turn-by-turn navigation. The Sprint HTC EVO 4G measures 4.8″ x 2.6″ x .5″ and weighs 6 ounces, should also pack a digital compass, a G-sensor, a proximity sensor, and a light sensor.

But if you’re dreaming about the EVO 4G, I’m pretty sure you knew all these, right?

Okay The Shack, now bring it on … we want!!!
