May 6, 2010, By Alex Ion

Nokia is trying to prove us wrong, as we’re hearing that the Finnish manufacturer is actually gearing up to debut their new flagship model, the new Nokia N8. Apparently the company has come up with an official page for the Nokia N8 and detailed some of its specs and features, which is why we jumped to conclusions that we could see a release date sometime this month.

Regulard DeviceMAG readers should remember that last month we managed to snag a review that bashed the new N8, and one that said it’s a pretty solid handset. We’re not sure which to believe, but we can say for sure that Nokia N8 will come with a stunning 12 megapixel camera (with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash for amazing images under low-light conditions) that’s capable of HD filming.

It will also allow you to watch HD videos (720p quality) on your TV through an HDMI connection, with premium-quality *Dolby Digital Plus technology for amazing sound. On top of that Nokia N8 comes with on-demand WebTV which means that you’ll be able to watch your favorite TV shows.

And did I mention “Navigation. For free. Forever”, wherever you are in the world? All you need to do is tell Ovi Maps where you want to go and it will take you there — no extra fees attached.

Other goodies include three home screens that allow you to “make one for work, use one for fun, and have one with your favourite picture as the wallpaper”.

The new Nokia N8 will be will be available in a choice of colorful skins, and you’ll get to choose between Light Green and Orange, to Blue, Black or Silver to name a few.

Do you like the new Nokia N8?
