Motorola Shadow Rumored to Be the Droid’s Successor

The Motorola Shadow has been rumored to be the successor to the Droid, the “Droid 2.” There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the device, and more information has been adding up to the pile lately, as now we’ve learned that the device will possibly include a 8MP camera, as well as the option to record 720p video.

This information is coming out shortly after Nokia revealed the N8 last week, which is a phone with a 12MP camera that can record 720p video, so it looks like there’ll be some heated competition going on around the market soon. The N8 does seem to sport a slightly better camera, but let’s not forget that the Shadow features the Android OS, which alone is quite a big advantage to consider – especially when you remember it’s the Android 2.2.

The Shadow made its reappearance when it was submitted to the Wi-Fi alliance, with various specifications such as a 4.3″ capacitive touchscreen, mini HDMI output as well as as 512 MB of RAM.
