AT&T HTC Legend Availability Confirmed by the FCC

May 4, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

FCC have a habit of revealing the upcoming releases of various devices when they go through them for certification, and the HTC Legend has now made an appearance in much the same way. A picture of a label was going around the Internet lately, which seems to coincide with the label underneath the cap of the device.

However, there are some subtle differences noticeable – it seems the FCC are now certifying a device running on the 850 and 1900MHz WCDMA bands, which is a pretty clear indication that the device is coming to AT&T eventually (however, it can also imply Bell, Rogers as well as Telus).

The FCC ID itself can be used as some proof as well, seeing as how the original Legend had an ID of PB76100, while this one has an ID of PB76110, which is really close. Sure, the device isn’t that spectacular or remarkable, however, it’s still a nice enough phone to keep you interested – so keep an eye out for it on AT&T some time soon (or maybe not, we’ll find out).
