World’s First 3D Newspaper on June 5; The Sun to Create Awareness on Sky Sports’ Soccer World Cup 3D Broadcast

Newspapers are going 3D! The first in line seems to be The Sun and the tabloid is set to come out with a 3D edition on June 5th. The publishers of the newspaper will also be giving away 3D glasses along with the daily. So what do we expect on June 5? News in 3D, along with 3D editorial images, 3D advertisements and a 3D Soccer World Cup schedule Wall Chart are what The Sun will bring on its pages on that day.

The Sun, which is part of Rupert Murdoch’s vast media empire, will be bringing in a new chapter in newspaper history when the 3D edition comes out. But wait, don’t you think the arrival of the 3D edition has a commercial motive behind it?  It is being rumored that the 3D edition of The Sun is aimed at promoting Murdoch’s Sky Sports which would be broadcasting the World Cup in 3D. Significantly, the world’s first 3D newspaper will come out just a few days ahead of the Soccer World Cup in South Africa at. With the help of the 3D edition of the famed tabloid, it is expected that awareness of the event being broadcast in 3D by Murdoch’s Sky Sports would be undertaken. Nice idea, right?
