Samsung Exec Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphone Arrives on US Cellular

Samsung has brought in its new Samsung Exec SCH-i225 smartphone, based on the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, on to the US Cellular network. The features incorporated in to the Samsung Exec SCH-i225 clearly prove that the new handset is aimed at professionals on the constant move. By this we mean, the phone will boast of specs such as Microsoft Office Outlook ActiveSync feature and similar programs under the hood. It has been revealed that among the MS Office programs inside will be PowerPoint Mobile and Word Mobile too.

It is clear that it is the multi tasking professional that Samsung is targeting with the Exec smartphone.  The phone is being offered by US Cellular for $99 .95 on a two-year contract after a $70 mail in rebate or by $299.95 sans the contract.

Besides the many MS Office props, the smartphone also boasts of a Windows Mobile Device Center, which helps in easy syncing of favorite music, images and videos. It also comes with a high-speed HTML browser and a full QWERTY keyboard. Further, Samsung has thrown in add-ons that let the user access social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. Texting and picture messaging and IMs are also possible with the phone sporting Windows Live Messenger capabilities. On the memory front is an  optional external memory up to 32GB.

The Samsung Exec, all off  4.61 X 2.36 X .45 inches  in size, has been spruced up as a professional’s phone with the addition of a 2 MP camera. It also comes with a camcorder, Stereo Bluetooth capabilities and integrated music player.  Other features include Adobe Reader LE 2.5, Calendar, and a battery that stay alive for up to 8 hours of talk time.
