BlackBerry Bold 9650 & Pearl 3G Unveiled, Full Specs & Features Detailed

If you were planning to be at the BlackBerry organized WES later in the day, there may not be a good enough reason to make it to the place anymore. The supposed star of the show at the event, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 which is the direct successor to the BlackBerry Tour has been detailed along with the BlackBerry Pearl 3G before the show has even begun.

A complete set of details is not yet available, so that might be one of the reasons to make it to the show but, the necessary details have of course gone public.

The Tour successor is the main highlight and it will feature a 3.2-megapixel camera, along with a large, high-resolution screen, while GPS and Wi-Fi will also make it as standard features. The Bold 9650 will be compatible with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS or dual-band CDMA/EV-DO (Rev A) based networks.

Though there are talks of the device making it to Sprint stores in the US, speculation is that Big Red will also get lucky early next month.

Pearl 3G is another device which is due for a thorough release at WES and going by RIM standards, it seems a fairly ordinary offering. It is a strict GSM offering and it gets a 3.2MP camera on the rear as it most important feature. Again GPS and WiFi (superior in this case) will make it to the standard features list.

BlackBerry Pearl 3G is going to arrive at Rogers, Telus and Bell in Canada.
