Dell Mini 5 Tablet to Arrive on T-Mobile Too Apart From AT&T; To Start Shipping This Summer

The upcoming Dell Mini 5 is all set to hop on to the T-Mobile network. From what we get to know, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings have been showing off the WCDMA bands of the carrier, providing ample proof that the Dell device will ride on the T-Mobile carrier network.

Significantly enough, the Snapdragon-powered mini tablet had already been confirmed for AT&T. Now, this new filing hints at the device being available on T-Mobile too.

The new development also points to a scene where Dell might be eyeing more customers as it can with GSM. The two-carrier might be seen as a move towards this.

Expected to start shipping this summer, the Dell Mini 5 would come with a 5-inch display with WVGA (800×480 resolution). The multi-touch enabled device will be Android driven, though it has not been revealed as to what Android firmware it would have under the hood.

To be powered by a 1 GHz processor, the device would support 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. Dell is said to have integrated many a features into the mini device, and they include Amazon’s Kindle services.

What could make the Dell Mini 5 more luring than the Apple iPad could be the presence of a front-facing camera that allows for video conferencing and the like. The iPad had given camera options the miss.

We guess this summer would be the season to watch, with the Dell Mini 5 set for debut. Join us as we track the arrival.
