A brand new BlackBerry is set for arrival, though we do not know exactly when. Going by what we learn, the device is a 9670 running BlackBerry OS 6.0. Complete with a full QWERTY keyboard, the clamshell device comes adorned with a 5-Mega Pixel camera. The 9670, as per the guys at BGR, could find a place in mobile history as the first BlackBerry ever to use a five-megapixel camera. Interesting, right?

The new info  brings to the fore details of the new BlackBerry being readied at RIM. The BlackBerry 9670, according to what is made known, will come with a large external display. If you thought you would get to play with a touchscreen, you will have to be disappointed as this BlackBerry device uses a trackpad instead. RIM is said to be readying the phone for the CDMA phone networks, even as throwing in the capabilities to pick up WiFi.

The 9670 will also be noted for being the first flip phone from RIM with a 480×360 screen. Doesn’t that bring to mind the Bold 9700 or Tour that had sported similar features?

The RIM engineers are sure working on the phone, but we are yet to even get a hint as to when it would finally arrive. There isn’t any chance that the device would be showcased at RIM’s Wireless Enterprise Symposium. So that makes us wait for a few months more. In the meantime, let’s go look for more details if available.
