Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 Full HD Wide Angle Camcorder Unveiled

April 15, 2010, By Atul Roach

Sanyo has finally unveiled the Xacti VPC-SH1 full HD, wide angle lens camcorder which first broke cover at the CES 2010. The camcorder was to arrive in February but for some unknown reasons, Sanyo delayed its launch until now. It was an eagerly awaited thingamajig because it boasts of industry’s smallest, lightest, and thinnest class body- weighing a modest 7.2 ounces and having an overall thickness of 1.69 inches.

The camcorder in all its sleek form is very functional at the same time as it gets blessed with a 30x zoom lens, 35mm wide-angle lens, MP4 recording capability, an Eye-Fi card support and last but not the least, a digital image stabilizer.

Talk about being functional, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 can also double up as a digital camera option and other than just recording full HD videos, it will also come it handy to take still shots using the 10MP sensor.

Xacti VPC-SH1 is available in two colors- read and black- as you see in the image atop. Sadly, there is no detail available about its exact price or the availability and we are just hoping Sanyo keeps it below the $400 mark. [via: Sanyo]
