HTC EVO 4G on Sprint Release Date Updated; June 13 Arrival Anticipated

April 8, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The HTC EVO’s arrival on Sprint has been  much anticipated, and you were all just waiting for June 6 to dawn. However, the wait is to be extended, proclaims the grapevine.  The HTC EVO 4G is now expected to come on June 13 in stead of the June 6 itinerary that was doing the rounds.

Though the new date comes in the form of rumors, someone out there tells us that the June 13 date has been spilled by Sprint insiders themselves. So we guess we should believe that.

So if this date is kept, we will get to play with the ‘super smartphone’ that would come with large 4.3-inch TFT LCD that does 480×800 pixel resolutions. Further the speedy Snapdragon QSD8650 1GHz processor 512MB of RAM and 1GB of built-in memory would make you go awestruck. Other features would include an 8 MP camera enhanced with autofocus and flash. That means you will be able to snap up 720p video. The Android device  will have an 8GB microSD card and also boast of 802.11b/g WiFi connectivity. Talking of connectivity, the phone will boast of a combination of EV-DO Rev. A and WiMAX for data transfers that would take things beyond 3G.

We just hope we get to taste the device that Sprint would latch on to by June 13.
