THQ Planning to Develop a $40 Million Game for Project Natal

Microsoft’s motion-gaming system, Project Natal is big and it might get bigger than even what we anticipated. Toy Head-Quarters better known as THQ amongst the gaming fanatics may be a readying a game that will involve development cost of up to $40 million. THQ is wanting to prove to the world what the Microsoft motion gaming system is all about and a game of such dexterity might just do it for the surreal gaming platform.

Danny Bilson, THQ’s core games VP, mentioned:

I have some concepts and some ideas that use Natal in a core game in a really, really cool way. But I don’t think the install base is there because the game I’m thinking about is a $30m/$40m Natal game and the install base isn’t there yet to support that.

Danny however clarified that the gamers shouldn’t get excited right away as the game development may take a couple of years. THQ will first have to justify spending so much money and for that they will closely be assessing the platform.

The mammoth game development will take time and therefore THQ has a short term plan in place as an ‘awesome’ Natal game will be released later this year at E3 where Natal will also be fully showcased. [via: Xboxic]
