Dell Precision M4500, the world’s most powerful 15.6″ mobile workstation, just started selling today.

Designed to deliver a superior combination of mobility and professional productivity even when running the most demanding applications, pricing for the new M4500 starts at $1,549 and includes Core i5-520M dual core CPUs, nVidia Quadro FX 880M with 1GB discrete memory, 250GB 7200RPM HDD, HD WLED 1366 x 768 LCD panel, and 2GB of system memory, but no sign of WiFi.

The higher end Precision M4500 allows you to choose the Intel Core i7 quad-core processors and NVIDIA’s Quadro FX 3800M graphics card, which makes it perfect for creative professionals, designers, animators, engineers and research scientists that would like to take their work on the go without sacrificing performance.

On top of that the new Dell Precision M4500 mobile workstation is the first mobile workstation to offer an optional 64GB SSD MiniCard for additional high-performance data storage.

Too bad you’ll have to pay extra for the backlit keyboard or the 3MP webcam.

Expect to pay around $2,500 for a decent spec-ed Precision M4500.
