2011 Mercedes R-Class Facelift Official Before New York Show

March 30, 2010, By Alex Ion

Our good folks from Mercedes have officially revealed pictures with the 2011 Mercedes R-Class. Coming ahead of a New York Auto Show debut, the new Mercedes R-Class facelift brings a bolder design that includes a new front bumper, a new grille and more stylish headlights that add to its aggressiveness, and a revised hood for a tinge of elegance.

The released pictures also show new LED taillights, a restyled bumper, and new trapezoidal exhaust tips in the back.

On the inside, the 2011 Mercedes R-Class won’t bring many changes (like you’d need them change anything …) —  that’s if you think some new colors and an AMG interior package is not much. But wait till you find out it has new safety features like Blind Spot Assist and NECK-PRO.

Getting to the really interesting part, the new R-Class is supposedly running on either the 3.5-liter petrol V6 that churns 268 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, or the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that boasts 210hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.

No word on pricing but I’ll bet we’ll find out more this week.
