If you haven’t yet placed orders for the Apple iPad and are planning to go for one now, you will need to wait beyond April 3 to get the device in your hand for real. The first lot seems to have been sold out. As per info on the Apple site, new orders for all three models of the WiFi-only iPad will ship by April 12.

Demand seems to be skyrocketing and orders have been growing for the iPad. It has already been reported that the company has already pre-sold hundreds of thousands of the device. It is anticipated that Apple might be selling more iPads in its first three months than the 1.2 million iPhones it had sold in first three months of the launch.

The Apple website tells customers that the iPad Wi-Fi model would ship next Saturday. If you have already placed your order, you will have the device for yourself on April 3. Meanwhile, the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G is still scheduled to ship in late April.

In the meantime, Apple has also brought forth a new iPad accessory. Christened iPad Camera Connection Kit, the add-on has been built to help you connect your camera directly to the iPad. Currently available for pre-order, Apple would sell the kit for $29. Look out for a late April delivery date.
