Sprint HTC EVO 4G Taken for a Spin, Quick Video Review

March 26, 2010, By Alex Ion

Just days after the official announcement at this year’s CTIA Wireless show and the HTC EVO 4G, Sprint’s best smartphone to date, is still making the rounds. If you’re asking yourself why, it’s quite simple — we’re looking at the most impressive announcement this year (if you rule out the iPad debut) in the mobile industry.

By now we know it used to be called the HTC Supersonic, we have a release date and full specs, and we even caught the Sprint EVO 4G on video. And while we heard only good things about it, we’re yet to get a proper review in. Which is why we’re looking left and right for people who actually spent some time with it and can give us more details other than what we have so far.

That’s how we stumbled upon this brief video review of the HTC EVO 4G, courtesy of PhoneDog who played with it and got to talk with some HTC fellas for more inside scoop.

From what you can see the screen takes all the honey — it has amazing colors, is very responsive and together with HTC’s Sense UI is simply brilliant. Also you can see the kickstand that allows you to play videos, images or music without the need to hold the device in your palm.

I bet you already know that the EVO 4G runs Android 2.1, has WiMAX connectivity, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, 512MB of RAM and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

Sounds like a winner to us.
