Blizzard, the company behind the hit video game franchises StarCraft, WarCraft and Diablo, have been known for organizing an annual festival for their fans called BlizzCon – and they’ve just announced the details for this year’s event.

BlizzCon is scheduled for Friday, October 22-23 this year, and will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center. According to Blizzard, this year’s event will see the announcement of various bits of information about the company’s upcoming titles, as well as giving players a chance to talk with developers face to face.

At last year’s BlizzCon, we got the announcement of Cataclysm, the expansion pack for World of Warcraft, a revelation of a new class for Diablo III (the Monk), as well as featuring playable versions of the upcoming StarCraft II and Diablo III.

Nothing’s known about ticket prices and availability yet, though Blizzard assure us that we’ll find out about these as the event gets closer. We’ll give you more information as soon as it becomes available – trust us, we’re no less eager than you!
